Etter at vi flyttet inn bestemte vi oss for å pusse opp ved å male alt innvendig. Det var en så stor jobb at vi satte det bort til noen som kunne det. Vi måtte være ferdige til 16. desember og helst en uke før fordi da skulle minstemor døpes, og selskapet skulle være her. Natt til tirsdag ble maler. Ene ferdige og alle ledige hender ble satt inn i jobben med å få det rent igjen. Det var noen veldige hektiske dager, men det gikk med et nødskrik.
